JACKSON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Jackson man was arrested following an investigation regarding sexual assault against a child. Nickalas Connor, 32, faces several charges. Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! On October 12, around 8:15 a.m., police contacted investigators regarding a child sexual assault investigation. New York State Police say the investigation led them to Connor's home with the intent of arresting him. Police say Connor refused to cooperate and barricaded himself in his home for roughly two hours, leading to a heavy police response and the closure of State Route 22. Law enforcement says Connor eventually surrendered himself and was taken into custody unharmed. WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. -- Firefighters from several departments were called to the 300 block of Papin at around 10 a.m. to battle a house fire Friday. One person was injured during the fire.The fire appears to be out now. Firefighters can be seen on the home's front lawn packing up their equipment at around 11:30 a.m. They came from Webster, Rock Hill, Shrewsbury, Crestwood, Brentwood, Maplewood, University City, and Fenton. Pickup Versus Sedan Collision near Industrial Boulevard Kills 39-Year-Old Female PassengerHAYWARD, CA (October 13, 2023) – Monday night, Maribel Gomez was killed and three others were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Hesperian Boulevard.Police responded to the collision on October 9th, at around 8:53 p.m., in the area of Hesperian and Industrial Boulevards.Upon arrival, officers learned that a pickup truck collided with a sedan. However, the cause of the crash remains unknown.The first responders transported a female passenger of the sedan to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
