Man hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being shot while driving, police said DENVER (KDVR) -- A man was shot while he was driving on Friday night, according to Aurora Police Department.Detectives are investigating the shooting that happened in the area of 11th Avenue and Scranton Street in Aurora, where police said in a tweet that a man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Denver violent crime still rising in first half of 2023 Officers responded to the call at approximately 9:47 p.m. when they said family members called Aurora 911 saying someone was shot.Police said they did not know what led up to the shooting, but the victim was expected to survive as of Saturday morning.Police said the victim reported that he was driving when he was shot and could not provide any suspect information. North County man killed in crash; teen arrested on suspicion of DUI ESCONDIDO, Calif. -- An Encinitas man was killed in a rear-end collision Friday night near Lake Hodges, authorities said.According to the Escondido Police Department, officers reported that a white Dodge Charger nearly collided head-on into them as they responded to complaints about a party in a neighborhood north of Kit Carson Park around 10:45 p.m. 5 sailors injured at Naval Base Point Loma A short time later, EPD says another officer spotted the Charger traveling at a high rate of speed south on Via Ranch Parkway toward Interstate 15.
