Starting with three straight 3s — one jumper from Hawkins and two set shots from Sanogo — UConn took a quick 9-0 lead and never trailed. On Monday in the title game, the Huskies will face San Diego State, which became the first team to hit a buzzer-beater while trailing in a Final Four game for a 72-71 victory over Florida Atlantic. That was an all-timer. Clark Government Center.Demonstrators pushed back on legislation restricting what they can teach, like the Parental Rights in Education Act, referred to by critics as “Don’t Say Gay” law, as well as the Stop Woke Act.“Laws [are] being passed to ban books and not allow teachers to teach a complete and true history of this country, so we are beating back those laws,” said Becky Pringle, president of the National Education Association, “not only by coming out and lifting up our voices, but by activism and legal action.”On Saturday, DeSantis was in Pennsylvania to attend a conference. The only passengers Saturday night were the thousands of Avalanche fans buckled into Ball Arena seats for the ride Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen were taking them on.MacKinnon scored twice, inching closer to his first 100-point season, and Rantanen registered four points to lead the Avs to a 5-2 win in their last regular-season meeting with the Stars. With 10:51 remaining after Dallas had seemingly closed the gap to 3-2, Avalanche coach Jared Bednar challenged for goalie interference, a rule that has mystified the Avs throughout the year. The Padres were gifted two walks and a wild pitch by Dinelson Lamet and converted on Juan Soto’s two-run, two-out single. For a while — at least, until Lamet’s meltdown — the Rockies had a puncher’s chance to rally for a victory. That wasn’t the case very often last season when the Rockies hit just 51 homers on the road. In their first three games this year, they have already hit five, three of them by Cron, the team’s lone 2022 All-Star.Urena, who signed a one-year, $3.5 million contract to return to the Rockies, was off-k...Latest news
