DENVER (KDVR) — Downtown Denver, like most urban areas across the country, can be a tough place to find parking when visiting which leads many people to turn to the 224 licensed privately operated garages and lots in the city. But, according to the Denver Department of Excise and Licenses (EXL), these lots have created problems for people reporting a lack of transparency and excessive fees. When does street sweeping start in Denver? Because these lots are private, any disputes are considered civil matters between the vehicle owner and the lot operator and there should already be signs posted with contact information for the owner.Additionally, people with more specific issues or those who believe the lot is not following the law can file a complaint through the Colorado Attorney General's Consumer Protection Unit.Beginning on June 12, however, EXL is going to require new signage to be posted at these lots to help people avoid and respond to fees. This list was shared with ...Despite national rent drop, Denver asking prices continue to rise

Poland struck a compromise on Tuesday to resume the transit of Ukrainian farm products across its territory to other countries, de-escalating a row that blew up last weekend when Warsaw slapped a unilateral ban on all food imports. The Polish ban last Saturday came in response to protests by farmers hit by a supply glut that followed Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 and subsequent blockade of the Black Sea export route. Hungary and Slovakia quickly followed suit, while Bulgaria and Romania have been considering similar measures as well. “We managed to come up with mechanisms to ensure that not a single ton [of Ukrainian products] will stay in Poland, that the goods will be transported through Poland … further into Europe or to Polish ports on the Baltic Sea,” Agriculture Minister Robert Telus told a press conference after talks with Ukrainian officials in Warsaw.
