He knows that because, well, he’s one of those people — and he’s also one of the primary architects putting together the lineup each year.“I have different feelings on the lineup every year,” says Scott, co-founder of Outside Lands and president of concerts and festivals at Another Planet Entertainment. “Sometimes, I like the lineup more than others, certainly — like everybody. And I am like really, really fired up for this year.”That seems to the general consensus about the bill for the 2023 Outside Lands, which marks the 15th anniversary of the festival. Kendrick Lamar, Lana Del Rey, Odeza, Foo Fighters, Megan Thee Stallion, The 1975, Janelle Monae, Zedd, J.I.D and Maggie Rogers are among the well-known acts set to appear at the three-day event, which takes place Aug. 11-13 at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. DUBLIN, Ga. Jason Gerald Shenk, 45, formerly of Dublin, Georgia, is charged in a recently unsealed federal indictment in Georgia with wire fraud, money laundering and failure to file a report of a foreign bank account.Prosecutors said Shenk got more than $30 million from faith-based charities and individual donors, primarily from religious communities in Ohio and North Carolina, promising to use the money to produce and distribute Bibles and other Christian literature in China.Instead, prosecutors allege, he used a lot of it for his own purposes, such as payments to the company running his family farm, buying diamonds and precious metals, buying life insurance policies in various people’s names, online sports gambling, Ch...Zimbabwe’s president tells supporters they will go to heaven if they vote for his party this month

HARARE, Zimbabwe (AP) — Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa urged thousands of his supporters at a rally on Wednesday to deliver a “thunderous victory” in this month’s national election and proclaimed that “no one will stop us from ruling this country.”He said that people who vote for his ruling ZANU-PF party — which has been in power for 43 years —would go to heaven.Mnangwagwa, the 80-year-old leader who assumed power in the southern African nation in a coup in 2017, also warned his supporters against engaging in violence in the buildup to the Aug. 23 vote. That plea came days after an opposition party supporter was killed, allegedly at the hands of ruling party activists, in the first deadly violence of the election buildup.“Perpetrators of violence will be brought to book without fear or favor. A one-way ticket cost $6,000 in 2003.A crane lifted the Intrepid’s Concorde onto a barge Wednesday for a very subsonic passage to the Broo...Latest news
