BOSTON (WWLP) – A Massachusetts animal shelter that was in search of a special adopter for a kitten with severely deformed hind legs announced Wednesday that a Boston radio host has come to his rescue.The young kitten, named Gumby, was sent to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals – Angell Animal Medical Center (MSPCA) on Nov. 11 from the SPCA of Texas for medical treatment and a loving home. One of the Palestinian American college students shot in an attack in Burlington, Vt., over the weekend says the incident is "very hard to grapple with" and made him question his safety in the United States. "In the West Bank, we're not safe because of the occupation, and as a Palestinian American, I'm not safe in America because of people like this that might come out," Kinnan Abdalhamid, 20, told The New York Times in an interview a day after he was discharged from the hospital. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A 33-year-old man is now in custody on a $1 million cash-only bond for the shooting deaths of two people.According to Sgt. A Hollywood marketing agent who was allegedly shot to death by a homeless woman was targeted for being friends with another woman that she had been stalking, prosecutors revealed on Thursday.Michael Latt, 33, was gunned down inside his home on Alandale Avenue in Los Angeles' Mid-Wilshire neighborhood on Monday night.Officers arrested Jameelah Michl, 36, at the scene. 36-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident on West Flamingo RoadLAS VEGAS, NV (November 30, 2023) – A fatal DUI pedestrian incident occurred on South Buffalo Drive Tuesday night, resulting in the death of one man.On November 21st, law enforcement received calls around 10:50 p.m., near West Flamingo Road.Upon examination, investigators discovered that a 36-year-old pedestrian had crossed the street within a marked crosswalk against a green light. Bianco, who was 21 at the time, alleged that Melichar, who was in his mid-50s, showered her with gifts and coerced her to engage in sex in exchange for “protection” and job security.When Bianco rejected advances, she alleges, Melichar retaliated against her by giving her “unfair job assignments and allowing his henchmen to abuse her and steal her tips.”Melichar is not named as a defendant in the lawsuit.
