More than 15K PG&E customers lose power in South Bay (KRON) -- A power outage in the South Bay Thursday night affected more than 15,000 PG&E customers, according to PG&E's outage map. The outage is in the area of Campbell and Saratoga, west of San Jose. The outage began at around 7:15 p.m. Power is estimated to be restored at 11:15 p.m., PG&E said. PG&E is investigating the cause of the outage.

Pedestrian fatally struck by CHP patrol car in Redwood City REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (KRON) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash on eastbound Highway 92 involving one of its own officers. A CHP officer struck and killed a person who was walking on the freeway.The CHP officer was heading back to headquarters with a DUI suspect when he struck and killed the pedestrian just after 10 p.m. Wednesday.  2 dead after Berkeley police involved in shootout with gunman at Toyota service center “It’s never a good thing to see,” said CHP Captain Jason Cavett. “It feels bad for everyone involved, including the in-custody that was in the right front passenger seat that saw. (KDVR) - The victim of a moose attack in the high country Tuesday morning shared her amazing story.Chris Ray said she's lucky to be alive after getting trampled by a moose several times then making the brave walk back to her home to get help.Ray takes walks along the South Saint Vrain trailhead near Ward."I see moose sometimes," Ray said, "When I see them, I turn around and come home." Officials warn of powdered fentanyl circulating in Boulder County LONGMONT, Colo. (KDVR) - Officials issued a warning Thursday about the deadly drug fentanyl: Powdered forms of the substance are showing up on the streets in Boulder County.Health officials tell FOX31 fentanyl is 50 times more potent than heroin and 100 times more potent than morphine. It is also laced into other narcotics being sold on the streets in Boulder County.On Sept. 16, first responders found evidence of powdered fentanyl while responding to a suspected overdose death.The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment reports 920 deaths caused by fentanyl poisoning in Colorado in 2022. The number of fentanyl-related deaths per 100,000 people in the state has more than quadrupled since 2016. Teen airlifted after being shot in SW Miami-Dade housing development, police say Rescue crews have airlifted a teenager to the hospital after, police said, they were shot in a Southwest Miami-Dade housing development.Miami-Dade Police and Fire Rescue units responded to the scene of the incident along the 28000 block of Southwest 126th Court, just before 9:45 p.m., Thursday.According to neighbors, the victim came under fire while sitting in an SUV.Paramedics airlifted the victim to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital in serious condition.Back at the scene, 7News cameras captured a large police presence, as well as a maroon Honda SUV with a shattered driver’s side window.Police have not provided further details, as they continue to investigatePlease check back on WSVN.com and 7News for more details on this developing story.
