OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) — People in the Gaza Strip who have Canadian relatives may apply for temporary visas to Canada, the country’s immigration minister said Thursday. However, the federal government cannot guarantee safe passage out of the besieged Palestinian territory.Immigration Minister Marc Miller expects the program to be up and running by Jan. 9. (AP) — The Buffalo Bills placed defensive tackle Jordan Phillips on injured reserve on Thursday after the backup had surgery for a wrist injury last weekend.Phillips is expected to miss about three weeks, and now will be required to miss four games. He won’t be available to play unless Buffalo reaches the divisional round of the playoffs. DENVER (KDVR) — A fire that started Saturday in a multifamily structure construction site near East Colfax and Peoria has been fully extinguished, Aurora Fire Rescue said Thursday, but there's no indication of when the intersection may reopen.At one point, there were 42 firefighting units at the blaze.
