Chargers super-fan goes viral after loss to Cowboys on Monday Night Football Despite the Bolts loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football, one Los Angeles Chargers fan’s reaction to a game-tying touchdown caught the attention of ESPN’s cameras and now, the internet.   With heartfelt expressions of excitement then despair and then back to excitement and yet another dive into despair, super-fan Merrianne Do led Bolts fans watching the game on television on an emotional journey.  “It’s funny because I truly believe every fan feels this way. Suspected DUI driver crashes into Mountain View family's home (KRON) -- A suspected DUI driver was arrested after he crashed his car into a family's home in Mountain View at 3 a.m. Tuesday, police said. The driver was treated at a hospital before he was booked into jail on suspicion of driving under the influence. Dispatchers received a 911 call at 3:08 a.m. reporting that a car crashed into a multi-family residence on California Street. Firefighters evacuated residents while 1,000 gallons of water gushed out of the damaged building's water pipes. The alleged DUI driver was traveling at a high rate of speed when his car crashed, according to the Mountain View Fire Department. "A vehicle had crashed into the building at an estimated high rate of speed, causing significant structural damage and into the complex’s water supply, resulting in a copious amount of water being discharged," MVFD wrote. Tax looming for vacant San Francisco homeowners SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- People who own homes in San Francisco -- and don't actually live in them -- will be slapped with a new tax in 2025. The San Francisco Board of Supervisors unanimously passed a vacant home tax law on Tuesday. Owners of vacant homes will have to file and pay the tax starting April 30, 2025, Supervisor Dean Preston said.The law will tax owners of buildings of three units or more, where a residential unit has been vacant for more than six months in a given year. The tax rate is higher for larger units, and it increases the longer a home is kept vacant.
