HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. — The National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) brought a free event to Highland Park Saturday, it's purpose to not only raise funds for Cooper Roberts — the youngest victim of last year's Highland Park shooting on the Fourth of July — but to also bring a sense of community through wrestling."This is amazing. If you have seen or see Cooper back there, He’s wearing the Championship belt and we’re all little concerned he might get in the ring and actually call a real heavy weight bought," said Keely Roberts, Cooper's mom. "But it’s amazing. AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Texas Department of Transportation tweeted Sunday some "rolling closures" are planned along a stretch of northbound Interstate 35 lanes in the late evening and overnight hours.The closures will impact northbound I-35 between William Cannon Drive and Stassney Lane between 9 p.m. Sunday and 4 a.m. early Monday. TxDOT attributed the planned closures to crews needing to remove overhead signs.Several entrance and exit ramps will be closed during the outlined hours. Greg Abbott (R) over his plan to install floating barriers in the middle of the Rio Grande River that would prevent people from being able to swim across it.Jessie Fuentes, owner of Epi’s Canoe & Kayak Team, filed a suit in Austin, Texas on Friday to stop the state from placing the buoys which he claimed would prevent him from giving tours on the river and cause his company "imminent and irreparable harm."The buoy construction near Eagle Pass, Texas, has already forced Fuentes to cancel a number of activities and even prevented his company’s access to the river, he claimed.Abbott is using a natural disaster declaration to place the buoys in the river as part of “Operation Lone Star,” a power Fuentes is challenging. AMARILLO, Texas -- Two people were killed and five more were injured in a shooting that took place at a shopping center just before 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, according to a press release from the Amarillo Police Department. According to the release, the shooting happened in the 3500 block of South Georgia Street. Officers found seven people shot, and one of the victims died at the scene. The remaining victims were taken to three different emergency rooms by Amarillo Medical Response and private vehicles. Another victim died at the hospital. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A North Greenbush man has been arrested following an assault investigation, according to police. Edward Schryver, 59, is facing multiple charges. A driver needed to be rescued after their car nearly fell off the 605 Freeway early Sunday morning. A massive landslide forced the evacuation of a dozen homes in a Los Angeles County neighborhood late Saturday night, and police, fire and utility company officials were on scene as early as 6 a.m. Sunday morning with the area completely closed off.At least 12 homes were evacuated in Rolling Hills Estates along Peartree Lane next to the canyon area, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said. Authorities are investigating after thieves stole millions of dollars worth of cash and jewelry from the home of Tina Knowles – the mother of Beyoncé and Solange Knowles. Knowles’ entire safe was discovered stolen by “someone from [her] camp,” at the fashion designer’s Hollywood home on Wednesday morning, TMZ reported. No one was home at the time of the burglary, and there is no information on any suspects or how they were able to get inside the home. The LAPD is handling the investigation.
